Poros, Greece

The town of Poros, Greece is actually an island itself separated by a small canal from the rest of the volcanic island. In ancient times it was two islands, Spheria and Kalavria, a larger and more lush island, with green hills and a nice coastline, which gradually became joined by an isthmus of sand. It has a population of about 3,500.
